How listings are vetted

  1. 1

    Start from the map

Every place to stay begins as a public business record for a hotel, inn, cabin, campground or rental near the venue.

  2. 2

    Keep the open ones

Places that are closed, have no reviews or have gone quiet for a year are dropped, and duplicates are merged.

  3. 3

    Read their own website

Pools, pets, kitchens, shuttles and breakfast are marked only when the property's own site says so.

  4. 4

Say when we do not know

If a property's site gives no answer, the listing says "not enough info" instead of guessing.

Every place to stay on this site starts from public business records for hotels, motels, inns, bed and breakfasts, cabins, cottages, vacation rentals, campgrounds and RV parks within reach of Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. We keep places that are open and have guest reviews, drop ones that are closed or no longer active, and merge duplicates. Each listing shows its rating, its review count and its distance to the venue.

The details on each listing, such as a pool, a hot tub, a kitchen, a pet policy or a shuttle to the venue, come from the property's own website. When the website does not say, the listing says "not enough info" rather than guessing. Rates, availability and minimum stays change often, so we leave them to the property: call or book with them directly. One listing, The Charmed Circle Cabin, is owned by the publisher and is labeled that way everywhere it appears.

Owners can claim a listing to correct details or add photos. A person checks every claim. Published by Bryan.

How to choose a place to stay in New York

Choosing among hotels near Bethel Woods Center for the Arts comes down to a few practical questions, and most are easier to settle before you book than on the drive in. This guide covers how to read the distances on our listings, what to know about parking and bags on show night, and how to plan for a group. bethelnyhotels.com is an independent local guide and is not affiliated with the venue.

## How far is each place?

Every listing on this site shows its distance to the venue in miles. Roads in the Sullivan Catskills curve around lakes and hills, so open a map app and set it to the day and hour you plan to travel. Show-night traffic is a different drive from a quiet weekday morning.

Bethel, White Lake and Kauneonga Lake are the towns closest to the venue, and they have fewer places to stay. Larger towns such as Monticello and Liberty have more places to choose from, which can matter when the closest rooms are full. If you are comparing places to stay near Bethel Woods, decide first whether being close or having more choice matters more to your group.

## Parking and bags on show night

The venue says general parking in the Healey Brothers lots is free, that lots and gate times vary by event, and that guests should allow at least 20 minutes to walk from a vehicle to the Pavilion seating area. Premium Parking is sold in advance for an extra cost and is reserved in Lot D. On bags, the venue allows clear bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, searches every guest, and does not allow re-entry. Rules can change by show, so read the venue's own pages before you go. Last checked 2026-10-08.

Our parking guide and our seating, lawn and bag policy guide go through each rule and link to the source.

## Group size and rooms

Count heads before you search. Every property sets its own guest limit and its own rules for extra guests, so ask before you pay. A cabin or house suits a group that wants one shared space and one bill. Separate rooms suit friends who want their own bathroom and their own morning. If you plan to camp, the venue runs its own campground, which is separate from the businesses listed here.

## Event weekends and minimum stays

Ask about minimum stays before you commit. A property may require more than one night on a show weekend, and we do not list those rules because each property sets and changes its own. Message or call before paying, and keep the cancellation terms in writing.

## Before you book

Check the date you want on the venue's official calendar at https://www.bethelwoodscenter.org/events, then compare Bethel NY hotels, inns and cabins on distance, guest limits and cancellation terms. Bethel Woods hotels and cabins are listed here with their own websites and phone numbers, so you can ask your questions directly.
